
Debbie Koziol Kurkul began filming some island deer strolling on a bridge close to her residence in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina when the animals shocked her by doing one thing sudden. One deer instantly leapt off the bridge into the water . . . after which the others did it too.
Within the video, Kurkul gasps when the primary deer goes over, then she gasps once more as the opposite two deer observe swimsuit. “Oh my g*d, they’re jumpin’ over!” she exclaims, clearly involved. Kurkul posted the video to her private Instagram web page. She responded to a remark asking if the deer have been OK, saying: “sure they have been wonderful, I used to be actually scared for them however they ran off onto land.”
We assume these are Hilton Head white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus hiltonensis), a subspecies of white-tailed deer that lives on Hilton Head Island.
