
Utilizing a drone, Toby Nicol filmed and photographed an interplay between a tiger shark and a sperm whale. He referred to as it “the craziest encounter I’ve seen up to now,” and he ended up successful an award for his work. Maybe what makes the footage so fascinating is the story behind the interplay. At first look, it appears like a sperm whale is surfacing for air, and a tiger shark is swimming within the slim area between the whale’s rostrum and the floor of the water. In actuality, the shark is biting chunks off the sperm whale’s face, as a result of the large marine mammal is useless.

In a separate post, Nicol additional explains that authorities towed the sperm whale to land and buried it with plans to dig up the skeleton in just a few years and use it as a show in a museum. He says this course of began simply an hour or so after he was there together with his drone.
