A ranger noticed two iconic and uncommon species in New Zealand on the similar time, they usually had been preventing with one another. “Takahē vs tuatara . . . sure, you learn that proper!” wrote the DOC in an Instagram submit sharing the footage. “DOC ranger Nick was in the fitting place on the proper time to catch this uncommon bush-floor showdown on Tiritiri Matangi Island. [. . .] Hear Nick inform the story and take a look at the wild footage!”
The truth that somebody noticed each of those threatened species within the wild on the similar time is nice information for conservation efforts in the area. Fortunately, neither animal severely harmed the opposite. They went their separate methods after some chasing and some nips.
