A hiker survived a 30-foot fall in a well-liked rock-climbing space in California, due to a paramedic crew and a helicopter. The incident occurred on Sunday. In accordance with the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the person was mountain climbing in a “rugged and distant part” of the Stoney Level rock-climbing space simply outdoors of Los Angeles when he fell. An LAFD helicopter extracted the injured hiker utilizing a cable and harness.

“At 7:09PM on Sunday, Might 25, 2025, LAFD floor and air sources had been deployed to evaluate and extricate an injured grownup male hiker who reportedly fell roughly 30 toes,” LAFD wrote in a Fb put up sharing the incident. “An LAFD helicopter lowered a flight paramedic by way of cable and harness to deal with and put together the affected person for a hoist rescue again into the hovering helicopter—paramedics continued in-flight care throughout direct helicopter transport to a regional trauma middle.”
Though LAFD doesn’t broaden on the person’s accidents or present situation, the division does make it clear that the person survived.
