Just a few weeks in the past, Grand Teton National Park rangers began getting studies of foxes stealing footwear from campers. So, they put up some indicators asking people to not preserve their footwear outdoors their tents. Apparently, this backfired a bit of, as a result of folks began baiting the foxes with their footwear, hoping to catch a glimpse of the lovable, mischievous thieves. The park posted a humorous PSA to social media concerning the scenario.
“After 19 footwear went lacking, we made indicators asking people to retailer their footwear in tents, autos, or bear containers,” wrote Grand Teton Nationwide Park in its Instagram publish sharing the video. “Now? The fox’s stash is as much as 32.”

In case you’re questioning what on Earth foxes need with human footwear—identical. The rangers at Grand Teton don’t know both, however they’re holding agency that though that is humorous habits, it’s not good for the foxes long run.
