“On the afternoon of Wednesday, October 1st, [police rescued] an exhausted jaguar . . . close to the Rio Negro bridge in Manaus,” wrote BPAMP in its publish sharing the video. “The animal was making an attempt to cross towards Ponta Negra, apparently injured and swimming with issue [. . .] After the operation, the feline [went] for veterinary analysis and can stay below the care of the suitable businesses. It’s already receiving veterinary care.”
Local news reports the jaguar survived surgical procedure and is now receiving rehabilitation with hopes authorities will be capable to launch it again into the wild.
