Final summer season, when NOAA researchers have been accumulating marine-life samples within the Gulf of Mexico, they discovered the cutest little crab. After sharing a video of the lovable animal on January seventh, the entire world fell in love with it. The spiky crab is outwardly a child king crab, and researchers couldn’t hold of their awe as they inspected it for the primary time (fortunately, somebody was taking a video).

“Oh. My. Goodness. WOW,” wrote NOAA Fisheries in its Instagram publish sharing the viral video. “That was our response too, to seeing the cutest, spikiest, tiniest little crab on the planet [. . .] This crab was discovered throughout an operation within the Gulf of Mexico in summer season 2024, which collected samples of mesophotic and deep-sea coral species for lab rearing and propagation.”
The video gained numerous consideration on-line, and NOAA even shared a follow-up publish with fan artwork that folk had created in honor of the cutest little crab within the ocean.
