Heavy snowfall in Juneau, Alaska, has sunk not less than eight vessels and threatened dozens extra. Harbor officers are asking the neighborhood for assist in retaining the boats and space protected.
“Juneau continues to expertise excessive winter situations, and the impacts in our harbors stay severe,” wrote Juneau Harbors in a New 12 months’s Eve Fb submit. “In a single day, three extra massive vessels fully sank, bringing the storm complete to eight vessels misplaced to date. Dozens extra have been saved due to the tireless efforts of Docks & Harbors workers and fast motion by fellow harbor customers and boat homeowners.
