First Responders Use Ladder to Rescue Baby Across Raging River


KTLA 5 News shared harrowing footage of first responders rescuing a child by fastidiously sliding an toddler carseat (with the infant strapped inside) throughout a hearth truck’s ladder prolonged over a raging river. Heavy rains in California led to the swelling of the South Yuba River in northern California, creating this harmful scenario.

“First responders with the California Freeway Patrol (CHP), the Placer County Sheriff’s Workplace, and the Truckee Hearth Safety District rescued 9 occupants from a home on the South Yuba River after it swelled following heavy rain,” wrote KTLA 5 in an Instagram put up sharing the footage. “Crews used a ladder to fastidiously slide a child service over the raging river.”
