Fish Impales Surfer Giulia Manfrini in a Freak, Fatal Accident


Giulia Manfrini, a 36-year-old surfer and former skilled snowboarder, died after a flying needlefish impaled its sharp beak into the aspect of her chest. Manfrini was browsing in Indonesia when witnesses say the fish flew out of the water and struck her. She signaled for assist, and different surfers helped get her to shore and to a medical facility, however she in the end died.

The freak accident is harking back to the incident that took Steve Irwin’s life. In 2006, Irwin took a stingray barb to the chest whereas diving on the Nice Barrier Reef. Sadly, all sports activities include dangers, and generally the dangers aren’t completely apparent.

We imagine she died doing what she liked, in a spot that she liked.”
