A fisherman off the coast of Norway encountered a very large shark . . . and certain abruptly realized how large boat his boat isn’t. The shark, a basking shark, is a member of the second-largest fish species on the planet. The basking shark the fisherman encountered was calmly inquisitive about his small fishing boat, and the person filming, Jan Alec Pultr, didn’t appear intimidated by the shark’s massive measurement. The truth is, he was thrilled by the sighting.

“As soon as in a lifetime encounter,” wrote Pultr in his now-viral video. The footage has over 6.6 million views on Instagram, and many various media retailers have picked it up, sharing it far and vast.
Basking sharks are the second-largest sharks, subsequent to whale sharks, however they don’t pose a menace to people. These sharks eat tiny plankton by filtering them from the ocean water. Their measurement can seem intimidating, although, since they will develop to be 40 toes lengthy. (In addition they typically swim round with their mouths agape, which is admittedly fairly freaky.)
