
A number of hikers feared for his or her lives on Friday after they needed to “dodge bullets” on the Parker Lake Trail in California’s Inyo Nationwide Forest. The Mono County Sheriff’s Office posted concerning the incident on Fb, assuring the general public that the offenders at the moment are going through authorized penalties.
This afternoon [September 26, 2025] at 1:50 pm Mono County Dispatch obtained a number of experiences from hikers on Parker Lake Path that pictures have been being fired of their path,” reported the Mono County Sheriff’s Workplace. “Our dispatcher might hear the pictures whereas on the telephone with the caller. Responding deputies have been in a position to confirm the place the pictures have been coming from and, fearing an energetic shooter, instantly moved towards the sound of fireside. They found three topics goal taking pictures north of the path. The goal shooters stopped their exercise and complied with deputies’ instructions.”

The sheriff’s workplace says a number of hikers offered testimonies as they exited the path. There have been no accidents.
“Many [hikers] said they heard a number of gunshots and will really feel and listen to bullets passing overhead,” the put up says. “They hunkered down behind rocks and timber till the taking pictures stopped.”
Authorities arrested the three individuals for preliminary felony costs of Willful Discharge of a Firearm in a Grossly Negligent Method.
