A small wild cat referred to as the colocolo (Leopardus colocola) or Pampas cat wandered as much as a path digital camera in Chile and booped it with its little nostril. It sniffed the digital camera, then moved on, and the trail-cam footage is as lovely as you’d count on. The Colocolo Project shared the video on Instagram for the world to see.

Colocolo cats reside in elements of South America, and although they’re not endangered within the wild, they’re elusive and “close to threatened” according to the IUCN. Scientists don’t know too much about how these small wild cats spend their time, so sightings like this on path cams are thrilling for many who research them.
