Underwater photographer Jules Casey witnessed a uncommon second whereas diving, and she or he determined to share it with the world. Casey was diving in Port Phillip Bay off the coast of southern Australia when she witnessed an act that comparatively few individuals will ever see within the wild: mating seahorses.
“That is the second the feminine (on the proper) passes her eggs to the male’s brooding pouch,” Casey wrote in her Instagram put up sharing the video. “These two have been flirting with one another for weeks. So to truly [capture] this actual second is extremely uncommon & thrilling.”

Casey says when she arrived to the dive web site, she observed the 2 seahorses appearing in another way.
“As I arrived [the seahorses] had been extra lively than I’d seen them earlier than. The male was inflating his stomach to indicate the feminine he had loads of room for her eggs. Then the magic occurred,” she wrote. “They pointed their snouts upwards which signifies they’re each prepared to try the switch of eggs. They rise collectively into the open water to finish the switch. This solely lasted about 30-40 seconds. They then go their separate methods. [. . . ] I used to be so excited to have witnessed this behaviour.”
