“Sunny did it!” wrote Friends of Big Bear Valley and Big Bear Eagle Nest Cam in its Fb publish sharing a clip of the eaglet’s first flight. “At 10:46 am this morning [June 2, 2025], Sunny flew from the higher Y-branch proper out into the world! She put up her wings to catch the wind after which jumped up and let these stunning wings carry her. She circled again round towards Shadow and Jackie’s favourite roost tree . . . Gizmo watched the entire thing from proper beside Sunny. She regarded fully fascinated and stored her eyes on Sunny flying away from the nest.”
